Residential Pilot comes to an end
To the Southland Whanau and Community
The 1000 Days Trust has made the difficult decision to wrap up our support services and residential pilot programme for Southland families on 31 May 2017. Unfortunately, uncertainty over our funding means we are not in a position to continue at the present time.
A huge thanks to the staff, various philanthropic, community organisations and iwi for their support. We can stand proud of the difference we have made to the trajectory of hu…ndreds of Southland families.
Our model has a strong future for our region and for New Zealand and we are looking to re-establish a new model, informed by all of the learnings of this pilot. We do not see this as the end.
A research project is also currently being developed to gather all feedback. We will keep you informed of any developments relating to the Trust in the months ahead.
